ACK ANOTHER TILTED UP 115?!
Common here. 115 FCO which is tilted up.

Got a good look at the reflector, and it seems to be exactly like a drop lens. Kinda like what is found in my 115.

whats Wrong with the AE's Pointing Up like that?...i like em like that...in fact thats the Way i see then all the Time...everywhere i go....but its mainly the 115's i see tilted up like this...the 113's are more Level...but i do see Level 115's....im not sure if the 125's have Level Steps but i never see those Pointed Up...always level unless the Arm is Tilted at an Angle.

trust me its big wrong! I have seen some installations that actually lights up the grass in front of them instead of the road when they are shoved it in....I've seen some pointed up a bit higher than this one...

Hmm. I see. Why doesn't the M-250r2 have the problem when it has the same step mount design? I don't get it.
Form109   [Feb 14, 2010 at 04:43 AM]
That is Odd.....Prehaps its the Lineman?
GullWhiz   [Feb 14, 2010 at 07:55 AM]
It isn't exactly the same design....there may also be something on AE that you would accidentally insert it farther.....I have been told by my lineman friend that the AE mounting thing is a problem....

Well the lights that I know of tilted are lighting a wide road from only one side thats why there tilted, but I do understand that it is often is laziness
LilCinnamon   [Sep 19, 2010 at 08:58 PM]
I know some lazy linemen can tilt up an M-400 r2! (or a2, since same housing) I seen a case of a tilted up M-400 r2. Got one of those on kipling. I actually tested this with my pipe, and it seems that people can be lazy and force the arm on top of what is supposed to stop it! And that makes it tilt up very much.

Yep according to the instructions there is a way to tilt up fixtures with 4 bolt slipfitters, you have to tighten the front bolts more then the back or something like that Smile

This 115 got replaced with an M-250r2. 250w HPS again.

Did the 115 fail or fall? xD Cause it kinda looks like its not fully on the arm.
gailgrove   [Mar 13, 2011 at 01:32 PM]
Maybe both Laughing though it likely did fail, 250 watt 115s seem to do that a lot.
LilCinnamon   [Mar 13, 2011 at 05:10 PM]
Maybe. xD But why replace it with another small fixture again? xD
gailgrove   [Mar 13, 2011 at 05:30 PM]
One word; cheaper Sad
LilCinnamon   [Mar 13, 2011 at 05:45 PM]
I think Colorado state uses 250w HPS in medium fixtures. But Xcel energy uses small fixtures in 250w HPS.
gailgrove   [Mar 13, 2011 at 06:09 PM]
We use small for all wattage (70/150/250/400) in OVZs, OVXs and 115s, though reacentally I have noticed a few 125s being installed for 400 watt instillations.
LilCinnamon   [Mar 13, 2011 at 06:37 PM]
Yeah I see. there are no 400w HPS 115's or M-250r2s here.

And I did spot a 200w HPS 125 on the road. Dunno why 200.
gailgrove   [Mar 13, 2011 at 06:59 PM]
We have no 400 watt 115 either since all of our lights are 120 volt, in the past a few (really 3 that I know of) 400 watt HPS M250R2.
LilCinnamon   [Mar 14, 2011 at 08:18 AM]
Yeah. There are no 400w Small fixtures at ALL in Denver. the highest in small fixtures goes to 250w. That's it. 400w Fixtures get to be medium.
Form109   [Mar 14, 2011 at 10:01 AM]
200 and 250 in small fixtures is a bad enough idea,400 is terrible.
LilCinnamon   [Mar 14, 2011 at 08:18 PM]
Yeah. They should have all 250w HPS fixtures in Medium fixtures.
gailgrove   [Mar 15, 2011 at 06:25 PM]
And 200 since they use the same lamp size size Wink
