Now under this intersection the median is done and the road is nice and re-paved. Sure enough the re-doing of this intersection was part of the big thing they were doing on 285 between Federal and Kipling, they re-did some old bridges by demolishing the old skinny bridges (One bridge for each side which had two lanes), that had a TINY shoulder and small and built a brand new bridge (in increments to keep traffic flowing) which were NOT as skinny, had MUCH bigger shoulders, and had just the concrete barrier in the middle instead of having two skinny bridges spaced apart. They did this with Three bridges I think.. Wadsworth, Federal, and a road that had no exit, that was jut a small residential road. The rest of the bridges were already big with the big concrete barrier in the middle, so they didn't re-do those. And also they took where the road had a grassy median and turned it into a big Concrete barrier in the middle with concrete on the road (Between Wadsworth and Kipling is only where the road is concrete) and widened the road a bit, but still keeping two lanes on each side (Between Sheridan and Federal it was three lanes, between the exits, as in the entrance to 285 on Sheridan created a third lane and the third lane turned into an exit only lane to Federal so it went down to two lanes again over the bridge. And vice versa.)
And them upgrading the traffic signal was a part of it. They took the M-400 R2 that I have now down because they were adding some drainage under the road and the streetlight was in the way, I guess, so now that M-400 R2 is proudly mine. 8D
