Double the OVX's.. With browned refractors.
This is what 250 watts of HPS does to a plastic refractor. Cheapos. xD

The traffic lights have GELcores in them, hence the layered look.

I've seen plastic refractors on 400 watt fixtures before, it did appear to be a replacement though.

a 250 watt MV will do EVEN worse on plastic refractors than a 250 watt HPS! Shocked

To be specific... the arrow LEDs are GE GT-1...the ball LEDs are GE RX-11. And the GELcore name has been discontinued for years now.

Well these are older versions, so I called them GELcores, cause these were put up some time ago.

that version is still produced. RX-11. I have GT-1 arrows in my collection

Never seen the plastic Cooper lens on an OVX. It's ugly. Confused I've noticed that the M-250R2 lens doesn't yellow. Even on 400w M-250A2s thay still don't yellow. Shocked

My OVX is in a similar condition as these. My plastic refractor is browned out a lot from it's use. Too bad Xcel likes using Plastic refractors on 250 watts HPS.

But I don't think Xcel energy even installs OVX's anymore. Just 115's or M-250 R2's for smalls. And for Medium it's M-400 R3, or more rarely the M-400 R2 brand new. Or some 125's.
