Temporary Traffic Light.
This was up in Rocky Mountain National Park on US highway 34. Even though it is a US highway, in the national park it is way different. Doesn't seem like a US highway. xD

You can see the mountains in the background. This isn't in use at the moment, it was a busy weekend. But I got to check the stuff out.

Cool.
Another I certainly have never seen before.

I'm guessing this has its own generator or battery pack?

This may be used during construction and only one lane is used, the other is limited to construction workers and equipment. May be manually controlled by an escort driver. I have seen a setup like this in Long Beach, CA, used temporarily when a pole was destroyed in a TC, had no control just the 2 signal heads.

seen these here in Ontario Canada too. Example: when they're refurbishing one side of a bridge and only one lane is available. the lights cycle the direction allowed to pass. fully automated. I felt like if someone gets stuck, there will be a head on collision!

There's one of these in Warwick, RI. I think they decided to use it permanently since it's been there for years lol.

North of Brampton towards Orangeville and Owen Sound on Airport Road I've seen them many times
I often see floodlights there too
