BP AM/PM Gas Station Sign
Here how expensive the gas price for regular unleaded. For the smaller one is for the diesel fuel price.

This gas station is located at 605 North Greenbriar Parkway, Marietta, GA, USA.

The US$ 3.829 is how much per gallon which I filled up at that location.

I've always wondered: what does the exponent after the price mean? This isn't much cheaper than here. The Shell stations here have just about reached the $4 mark. they're the most expensive though. HESS and Stop & Shop gas are the cheapeast around here being around the same as this.

It is an old marketing technique saying that is US$ 3.829 looks cheaper than that you are really paying for US$ 3.83 Rolling Eyes Razz

Ahh. Would $3.82 9/10 mean the same thing? All of the gas stations here now use a fraction after the price for some reason.

Yeah, it's that 9/10 thing again. Same idea as with, say, $1.99 when it's really basically $2; it's supposed to look cheaper when it isn't really all that much cheaper in actuality.
