and i don't like the setup very much either.
not all of them have lights yet but the mounting hardware is present at those currently without lights.

i imagine these shine more light at the sky than the intersection....the lighting will definetly be less than it was.

There's actually a cylinder refractor on this one inside....It's actually covered on the top, so light doesn't go UP and the refractor on the sides will guide the lights DOWNWARD!

Previous Cobraheads were still more effective.

I wonder if Tyler plans to remove all the cobraheads on this road for those fixtures....(kinda like the old days when they used incandescent...)

so far the only signals like this installed line Broadway Ave (the Central street trough downtown and Tyler's main street essentially)
all the other new signals elsewhere in the city are the same color,but straight masts with non-ornate poles with FCO Cobra's on 8 Ft Trusses.
