California Terrace Series Regulator
6.6 amp series regulator at 359 California Terrace near the intersection with Arbor St in Pasadena. This powers the incandescent radial waves plus some mercury vapor and HPS fixtures located throughout the neighborhood. 

I wasn't really looking for it at first but spotted it while I was on my way to check out a CFL radial wave conversion two poles south of this one.

I found this one too by following the wire. It is nice to see it still in use.

I followed the wires from it to some of the lights but I'll need a whole afternoon here to see how far the circuit goes. BTW, 2400 was painted on this (you could see it in my other picture taken through the trees) and other transformers in the neighborhood. I believe that means 2400 volt primary
