Philips/VL 50 watt HPS wallpack converted to LPS
same VL 50 watt HPS wallpack I acquired a few weeks ago now set up for an 18 watt low pressure sodium lamp and hardware.

For use with the longer LPS lamps, the socket bracket had to be removed from its original spot near the center of the fixture, turned upside down, and re-positioned to the top of the fixture (holes were provided but were not yet tapped) and the medium-screw socket replaced with a Kulka/Voltarc part #5110 BY22D lampholder.

I'm using a modified CFL to power this up but plan to get another ballast for it later. Still need a reflector and wiring cover (those were already missing when I got the fixture)

Nice conversion, Yuandrew. Now you have an energy saving light source in a neat fixture. Cool
