StreetLight #044 - LED (2 head ver)
A LED streetlight with 2 fixtures in a 7-11 parking lot...(at least I'm assuming its LED by looking at it - both on & off)
I think these are a decent looking fixture. The area below seems to be lit fine.

Location: 7-11, Near: Wadsworth & Coalmine, Jefferson County, CO

They're LEDs. I've seen these around here as well. At an 7-11. Seems like all 7-11s are using these.

Maybe its some sorta "green"/energy-efficiency thing they are doing.
I think this one may have also replaced the fluorescents under their front overhang with LED (at night the color matches that of these streetlights...and doesn't quite look fluorescent)

They did. I went there and looked under there.

Did they use the tube type that are meant to retrofit into fluorescents?
The store where these are originally had 8' slimlines (on cold winter nights those would be all dim & flickery LOL)

There are quite a few gas stations around here going to LED canopy and parking lot lights. Posssibly it's becuase electricity is somewhere around $0.12- $0.15/kWh. I don't really know if that's cheap or expensive... I know my cousins in Southeastern MA pay less than that...
