You seem to find a lot of dayburners.

They must be using the newer Sun-Tech photocells. Laughing

Probably the Sun Tech PCs are made in China.

They are? I thought they were made in Massachusetts. They were as of 2012. They didn't start getting bad until 2014-ish though... DTLs are awesome despite being made in China. Low China prices without the low China quality lol. I heard ALR is decent and Ripley is good too, but they've become a "luxury brand" so to speak, with higher prices for better quality units. Ripley used to be the "economy brand" with decent quality for sure, but nothing beats the good old pre-Sun-Tech Fisher Pierce units. Those things were awesome. And soon as Sun-Tech bought them out/merged with them, they went right downhill.

rlshieldjr, I'm always looking for dayburners. Even LED or Mercury Vapor ones 'cause I'm not allowed out after dark.

Sun-Tech photocontrols are made in Raynham, Massachusetts. I have some that are brand new. I noticed they switched the relays they use inside the electronic twist lock photocontrols to Zettler. And Zettler relays are made in China. ALR photocontrols are very good. Built like tanks. I noticed the price of Ripley photocontrols has gone down on their website. Their website is cool because you can choose the footcandle turn on setting and cover color
Very Happy

Ah OK so they are still USA-made (but with Chinese parts, which means everything!). Yeah Ripley is cool, though I'll admit I don't have a recent one from them. However, I do prefer the older Ripley covers. The newer ones from the past 10-15 years look odd with the corners of the cover shaved off in five places. Plus the older covers screwed on like DTLs. Sun-Tech also has an issue with the covers popping off their PCs. ALRs snap in but their covers are too tight almost, because they're near impossible to get off to see the insides! That's why I like the screws; easy to open up when you want to and secure when you want the cover to stay on. Cool
