Felt LED Failure!
Here we have a failed Feit electric LED lamp. Disappointing as this is the most expensive LED lamp I've owned. Spent it's final days in an enclosed dome light. The melted plastic and overflow of the potting compound are visable on the side. The driver electronics are mounted to a plastic tube connected to the base and potted in what I assume is epoxy. The rather large heatsink goes over this base and attaches with two screws. The led lamp then attaches to the top recessed area with two additional screws with some heat sink grease on the back of it.

Running it in an enclosed dome light likely contributed to its early death. These higher wattage retrofit LEDs don't like enclosed fixtures.

Possible. Though the great value 15 watt lamp in the other socket is still working just fine. And the great value 15 watt lamp before the Feit also eorks still. So this is only one failure out of the six or so LED lamps I've had long term.
