This is why Duquesne Light used glass refractors with most of their mercury vapor street lights.

Yep, many of their fixtures are neglected... Lately they've been replacing the really old fixtures when reported.

There's fixtures in my area that have browned out refractors and some that have no refractors at all.

NGrid replaces browned out refractors upon servicing but there are some browned out refractors on a few lights. The replacement is normally a formed palstics lens but occasionally it's likely whatever they have on the truck with them. i've once in a while seen M-250R2 lenses as well as Lexalite lenses (AEL) and flat panels.
