you should report a missing lens... Razz maybe they'll stick in a drop lens?
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 10, 2013 at 08:59 PM]
I did report it and asked if they could put a drop lens in it. I did it via there website so I won't know untill they fix it. Laughing

lets hope it goes drop lens but it seems your area like sag lenses unfortunatly. Razz Laughing

Well I personaly like the sag glass as well. Iether way at least its not a DUROSTAR. Mad
streetlight98   [Jun 11, 2013 at 12:52 AM]
eww how dare you say the name. Razz have yo ever seen a durastar in sag glass? I've only seem them in FCO...
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 11, 2013 at 01:14 AM]
Razz ...No I'v never seen one in sag glass only flat. Hey I put one of those clear GE drop lenses in my M-250R2 today it, looks pretty sharp. I'll have to take some pics to post. I read where you said that ITT model 13 ballast works now that you got you'r new starters. AWESOM!!!
GullWhiz   [Jun 11, 2013 at 01:28 AM]
My area also likes sag lens (different electric company but neighboring company though) and I do once in a while see them suddenly decide to use drop lens here and there......

PEPCO has a lot of FCO, mostly FCO but sometimes I see drop lens...new ones...so far I know off hand PEPCO has about 6 sag lens in service....there and here...I donno how they got there...LOL
streetlight98   [Jun 11, 2013 at 01:29 AM]
cool! Those refractors are designed to be used with the FCO optics in case you were wondering. It's basically a plastic sag glass lens. and yep the balalst works great. Thanks! Now i need a fixture for it lol. (Well, no room for any more cobraheads ATM, since the M-250R1 should be on its way soon...)
GullWhiz   [Jun 11, 2013 at 01:32 AM]
Well...did you know that PEPCO uses AE 115s with drop lens style reflector for FCO? yep, I checked they were house side sockets with smooth unpainted reflectors......while BGE and Delmarva (above) has street side sockets...(the older BGE ones were house side though)
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 11, 2013 at 03:59 PM]
Yea, I did that with my 115 when it was in service before, I put a sag lens in with a drop lens reflector, Honestly I think they give the same light distrabution as one with the cutoff style reflector. Same with my 125 when it was up. Now the 115's here are street side and the 125's are house side with the painted reflector, the 115's are high performance.
streetlight98   [Jun 11, 2013 at 07:19 PM]
i think the painted reflector is only ro reduce any harsh shadows on the roadway and to cut back on some glare. probably more so for the shadow thing though. The 125 is also offered with the high-performance street side socket optics too so i wonder why they're not using them...
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 11, 2013 at 07:37 PM]
I'm not shure, mabe it's cheaper. My 325 has high performance optics and I know that was quite exspensive. I know if I order another in the future it will be with the painted reflector.
streetlight98   [Jun 11, 2013 at 08:39 PM]
yeh the HP optics are probably much higher but i wonder why they'd use HP 115s and not 125s...
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 11, 2013 at 10:42 PM]
Problebly because the 125's are expensive enough as it is. I do't know.???? Confused
GullWhiz   [Jun 12, 2013 at 03:37 AM]
What fixtures does Delamrva Power use for 250 watt HPS? BGE uses GE M-400A3 for 250 watt HPS and PEPCO uses AE 115 for 250 watt HPS...
Mercuryvapor123   [Jun 12, 2013 at 12:10 PM]
Delmarva uses the AEL 125.
