Some just dont like street lights!
I found about 7 Lts on the same street like this. All but the street side were painted. Needless to say they were much brighter when I left!

Good!

LOL!!! Yesterday I saw one of those fixtures near me with electric tape going from the top to the bottom wrapped around.....seems that one had missing top hood screws or broken hinges LOL, I think it was missing screws since the tape was taped on the front side...

Looks like they are on wooden poles, I see some, but I have seen neighborhoods get replaced with fiberglass poles, but as far as I know the wooden poles still get installed when requested...

Somebody from the town goes and spray paints the panels. These are on water front properties and I guess the home owners dont like the glare while looking out at night! Not that there is much to see ecxept pitch black! Laughing
gailgrove   [Feb 01, 2011 at 07:15 PM]
Oh right you said that right in the title Embarrassed I would guess you replaced the panels Smile

GullWhiz   [Mar 15, 2011 at 11:50 PM]

streetlight98   [Nov 28, 2011 at 09:31 PM]
Maybe they missed and were trying to repaint the fixture. Razz Laughing
GullWhiz   [Apr 28, 2012 at 08:21 PM]
no they don't repaint fixtures in site, only at refurbish shops......I know because I asked, because a customer painted 3 cobraheads on his property (although they are PAL lights) but they actually looked good!
streetlight98   [Apr 29, 2012 at 11:15 PM]
I was just kidding. Laughing This fixture looks to have pretty dulled out paint though.

I've seen worse than this....We have like millions of those Cooper/McGraw Edison Traditonare all over my area and this one in the pic is one of those......we have them in 100 watt MV, 175 watt MV, 100/150 watt HPS and some MH....my neighborhood has 4 of those......

We have them on metal poles, and wooden poles like above with square to round adaptor you see above and most common, the fiberglass poles

If this was the "Los Serranos" area of my town, the glass would be broken and/or there would be two bullet holes through the top.
GullWhiz   [May 01, 2012 at 12:57 AM]
It's actually plastic, and they seem to do good with BB guns.....I've seen the, with little BB gun spots and not get broken
