Eh, the poles here are about that close to the road, though they're cobraheads. Perhaps if the poles were a little further away from the curb they wouldn't get hit as much. Laughing

So nice that you are continuing to replace these with mercury lamps! In Washington State, if any servicer comes across a mercury lamp, it'll be changed to a new MH ballast and lamp. Just recently, the post office near me had all its OV-35's replaced with metal halide ballasts & lamps...but at least the fixtures remain!
