Induction lamp!
Rick brought this from work just to show me the system and see how it works. The driver unit is 120v, so we were able to light it up. Man this thing is bright! The lamp is rated at 150w, it recorded 165w on my kill-a-watt. The power factor, to my surprise, is 100% like an incandescent bulb.

what do you mean by "power factor"?

also, do you notice a bluish-greenish tinge like mercury vapour or is this a color corrected bulb? the streetlights that i've seen in pictures have a greenish tinge and look like coated MV bulbs.

Power factor is how a reactive load (i,e ballast) comsumes volts vs. amps.
