Coleman 286 single mantle gas lantern in the harsh cold of Canada!
You have here something I wanted since I was 6, a Coleman lantern! It's cold this afternoon, around -15°C, and she started pretty well!

Note the obvious lack of snow. This winter we have little snow but it's cold. Temperature went down to -30°C a few nights ago! It's getting warmer later this week but by the weekend we'll be back into polar cold!

Here's another view of the lantern:

Nice. We use these on camping trips. It's been very cold here too. Apparently the jet stream moved way further south so it's been really cold here. My friend said he turned on the light in the post top light in his yard and the lamp popped! Shocked i guess the change in temperature from the 150W filament coming on was too much for the lamp? i thought the glass was tempered though? Confused The fixture is missing the frosted glass panels though. One was smashed so his dad wanted it to be symmetrical i guess. Laughing
