Man! This is making me mad! Forcing people to use CFLs?!? No wonder I see a high usage of CFLs in cities with municipal utilities in California. CFL usage is somewhat less where I live, SCE territory. I have never received any free CFLs from them.

Well at least it came with that nifty little keychain, that would totally sell me on it....LOL

That keychain is a LED flashlight. I got one from So Cal Edison that is shaped like a spiral CFL, I'll post a pic later.

If I get free cfls, i hope they're Sylvania. Laughing

I'd just use them up like normal! I've admittedly bought subsidized CFLs in CA and brought them out of state to Alaska since they were so inexpensive!

Here National Grid has rebate programs too like replacing your fridge and hauling away the old one for free. and it's "Payed for by the energy-efficiency charge on all customers' gas and electric bills in accordance with Rhode Island law". They say it every radio commercial so i ahve it memorized. Yeah, sad, i know. Laughing

Do you listen to the radio a lot? I sure do! Or Pandora...
streetlight98   [Sep 07, 2014 at 03:43 AM]
yeah i love music! the bands i listen to the most aren't often played on the radio here though.

Yeah I listen to a lot of less-radio-airplay stuff too. Radios and "DX'ing" are other hobbies of mine though.

I hear radio spots from So Cal Edison, about not touching a downed power line, to call 911, and "Flex Alert" to reduce electrical usage. My fav music is mostly 80s rock like Depeche Mode and the like.
