THROWBACK THURSDAY RIDOT: Before N' After of Washington Bridge
Above is I-195 before it actually became I-195. Back then, it was a freeway from I-95 to about Benefit Street. Then it was just a city road. Looks like there was a streetcar too looking at those tracks. Those are Form 109s in the top pic. Bottom pic is all newer HPS lights except for the lone truss, which holds a L-150 (250W HPS). The L-150 is the lone survior from when they did the I-Way Project on I-195 (relocating the end that joins I-95, getting rid of the original 1940s freeway portion that had those cool old poles). The L-150 will probably come down eventually. They're still doing some work over here.
