Whoa! A Silver M-250R!
Yep this old guy was missed out in the early 90s changeout and it's still standing strong. Boy I'd love to see this lit at night. It's in blackstone Valley Electric, which is why the arm isn't a HAPCO. This was on a dead-end street. They seemed to have skipped this light but the other light on this street wasn't missed out (it's now a 1993 M-250R2 FCO). I didn't see the wattage of the other light but odds are it's a 70 watter which makes this a 100 watter. Man this pic just makes you wanna have a bucket truck lol.

Nice! Which town?

Those were common in my childhood home town which is just 5 min from where I am right now...only difference, is that they were all remote PC! When I was a kid, Burtonsville had about 15 of those, but today 4 or 5 still exists, 3 of them got upgraded recently, some were removed from construction, one I can remember off hand got replaced with a mercury GE M 250R2....not sure on rest

There are tons of these fixtures around here that are owned by ComEd, but they are slowly being replaced by new M250R2's as they fail.

@ Dave; Thanks! This looks really sleek on that arm IMO. This is located off of Mendon Ave on a side street in Cumberland. When you come to RI, take I-295 North to exit 10. Take a right at the end of the ramp and follow Mendon Ave past a Rite Aid. The street is on the left-hand side about a mile or so from I-295. It's the first light on the side street, though i unfortunatly lack the name of the street.

@ Jace and Gil; the HPS M-250R2 is my childhood memory lol. I still see a couple of the 60s M-250Rs around. All of them that I've seen have been in old Blackstone Valley electric territory. The M-250As and 70s M-250Rs that i see are in both Blackstone Valley electric and Narragansett Electric territory.
