Rocky Point Park Lights: 400W MV M-400R2
This one's in great condition too. Missing the PC like most of the lights here. This is the only M-400R2 here. It was probably installed a few years before the park went bankrupt. The lights were owned by Narragansett Electric and RIDOT (so now NGrid and RIDOT). If the park was still open, there would probably be 250W HPS M-250R2 on these poles. The park closed down just before HPS took over the park too. My grandpa was good friends with a worker here since he was always here for chowder and his friend heard the "big-wigs" talking with a National Grid person about a park-wide lighting upgrade. That was when NGrid first took over.

Does it have a GE logo or a GE signature rim? its hard to see with the picture quality...i could tell you what generation it is, from 1985 to 1997

I'm not sure. I didn't look close enough. The park closed in January of 1996, so this is from 1985 to 1995. Sad this saw no more than 10 years of use.

judging from the picture, no logo nor rim so it may be 1993 or newer

By rim do you mean in the top housing like the M-400 split door and previous had? If so, no it didn't have that. I wasn't sure on the logo. so i guess this saw only 3 years of service at most. Shocked

The first generation GE M-400R2 did have the signature rim decorative grooves like the older GEs had, including the GE M-250R and GE M-250R2

I've never seen an M-250R2 with the grooves. Did you mean the 60s and 70s M-250R?

Yea I mean R1
