i like the look of concrete poles....never seen any though....however we have a streetsign a few blocks from me on an old concrete coloumn.

Dallas has Brushed Alum Poles in some areas.

Concrete poles are almost everywhere in Southern Ontario. Very Happy
Form109   [Sep 06, 2011 at 01:33 AM]
got pictures Joe?
joe_347V   [Sep 06, 2011 at 01:39 AM]
The poles or the truss arms. Laughing
regennis   [Sep 07, 2011 at 01:13 AM]
I never liked those Shoebox Lites. Mad I say "Good Riddance".
GullWhiz   [Sep 09, 2011 at 10:46 PM]
I guess everyone loves the ones on the right! Except Form109 which apparently likes Shoe Boxes...
gailgrove   [Sep 09, 2011 at 10:51 PM]
Um...
GullWhiz   [Sep 09, 2011 at 10:51 PM]
Ummm what?
gailgrove   [Sep 09, 2011 at 10:53 PM]
I dislike the fixtures and poles on the right, I don't care for the shoeboxes either.
GullWhiz   [Sep 09, 2011 at 10:55 PM]
Basically you dislike EVERYTHING eh? I've noticed.......You sure are picky....picky people often aren't too happy.... Confused
gailgrove   [Sep 09, 2011 at 11:16 PM]
I don't like ANYTHING you say, then where are all of these complaints? Certainly not here or here or here or
here or
here or
here and let's see, not
here either... And for the record I am perfectly happy, except when people make quite frankly stupid comments like the one you just made...
GullWhiz   [Sep 09, 2011 at 11:52 PM]
Embarrassed
Form109   [Sep 09, 2011 at 11:55 PM]

i have to say niall i think you over reacted abit.
gailgrove   [Sep 09, 2011 at 11:56 PM]
Sorry Jace for sounding so harsh, I haven't had a good day, or week for that matter and that comment sort of pushed me over the edge Sad
GullWhiz   [Sep 10, 2011 at 12:01 AM]
No worries man, we cool man! And everyone have different tastes anyway......Good news is those fixtures on the right are HPS Wink I know you like HPS....I don't HATE HATE HATE them....just not a fan of them, LOL
gailgrove   [Sep 10, 2011 at 12:04 AM]
I like HPS, as well as all of the HID sources. I'm not actually so opposed to the new M400/M400A series any more, they are fixtures that look like others sure, but that's not the first time it's happened either. I'm still not sold on the fibreglass though Laughing No hurt feelings either.
GullWhiz   [Sep 10, 2011 at 12:06 AM]
Perhaps this Gull game will make your day!!!!
gailgrove   [Sep 10, 2011 at 12:10 AM]
LOL Jace, it sure helped! Though I think I lost my burgers. Laughing
TiCoune66   [Sep 10, 2011 at 12:49 AM]
To get back to the pole subject, we have tons of aluminium poles around here installed back in as far as the 1970s! They don't look brand new anymore, but they sure kept a very aesthetic appearance over the years.
joe_347V   [Sep 25, 2011 at 01:15 AM]
There's some pretty old aluminium poles here too, I think they were installed as far back as the 1960s. Some of them look like they were made by Powerlite, also we still have some 60s aluminium highway sign supports left here too.
