The Holophane! Focused on the dead 200 watt frosted incandescent Holophane Posttop! Blurred on the 250 watt HPS GE M-400A3 with sag lens... Unfortunately a bit less than the quarter of left side of the tag on the front of the base broke when I had washed them....it was nothing more but a sticker....surprising it survived 40 years of weather! The Holophane!

Focused on the dead 200 watt frosted incandescent Holophane Posttop! Blurred on the 250 watt HPS GE M-400A3 with sag lens...

Unfortunately a bit less than the quarter of left side of the tag on the front of the base broke when I had washed them....it was nothing more but a sticker....surprising it survived 40 years of weather!

This particular one is the one still being lit as an incandescent on the left side of this picture

Part of the pole is actually the same...too except they were flipped upsidedown so I could make the table lamp possible...the slipfitter was covering the threaded part of the pipes so I made the threaded side point down, but still on the same ol' poles!

The lamps were already long long long dead......they were GE 200 watts...dated to February 1974! And the parking lot were lit by 400 watt Westinghouse OV-25s (2nd generations) until around 1995-1997 they ALL got switched with MH floods on same old poles and arms...There were also 2 newer lights mounted on the side of the old building that was AE or ITT model 25 also MVs but got replaced with floods same time...

At least these Holophane fixtures are not neglected anymore and are saved from scrap!

well there were 3 more on the other side of the parking lot but it was too late....they tore them the first thing.....those 2 didn't get torn because that enterance still stayed open during construction as there was a trailer temporarily there for CVS Pharmacy to stay open...They also left about 5 poles on the parking lot too to continue in service for the trailer purpose and swept those away as soon they were almost done....The other 3 Holophanes weren't as in good condition as those 2.....one was missing a top....and they were dirtier looking too...I also know one or two that is still standing in front of a church not too far....
