New NEMA Tags
Here's a shot of my two cobraheads sporting their new MV NEMA tags. The R47 originally had a green 25 tag which is under the blue 10 tag (don't worry it peels off easily) while the B2255 didn't come with a tag.

Like it!
Is that an incandescent light bulb at the lower right corner of the B2255?
Looks like it's been repainted, has it? The R47 looks like it's been in service for a long time...

Thanks!

@Tony, I've yet to see any of the Sylvania/Powerlite models in the US, I heard they're very rare in the US too. They're as common as gulls here in Canada.

@Andy, I repainted the R47 about a month after I got it in spring 2010 and yeah that's a GE bulb next to it, nothing really that special about it... The R47 was in service for roughly 18 years while the B2255 was in service for roughly 30 years. Both were originally 250w HPS.

Looking good! There's a string of HPS R47s at CCRI in Warwick. It was the only time I'd ever seen Powerlites in the states. I saw plenty of them in Niagra Falls, Ontario. I really liked it over there. I saw some DuraPoos too though only on signal poles.

Thanks Mike! It seems that my area has a good variety of lights compared to other places too.

Seems the San Jose' area has quite a few interesting lights, including LPS and MV!

Toronto in the 1980s had pretty interesting lights too, there were some small pockets of fluorescent left on the streets, MTO freeways and 1960-70s era streets had MV, some newer streets had HPS, most of the downtown was still incandescent, and LPS was used on the city owned expressways.
