Trashed OV-25 Door
This fell off a OV-25 during a recent storm. It fell around 40' on to a concrete sidewalk which broke the door and bent the "dog cone" glareshield. Needless to say the glass got smashed into a million pieces. I grabbed this mainly for the glareshield since those are quite rare around here. If I find another OV-25 in good condition I might try to bend it back...or as Mike suggested put it on my OVF.

Hmm I see they rolled out the blunt nose OV-25 before they introduced the boxy OV-25 here (which IIRC was 1979).

Ahh, I thought the blunt nose OV-25s were rolled out the same time but I guess there were earlier. The design still sorta lives on through the OVW unless that got discontinued. Even though the OVW got highly Cooperized as compared to the Canadian Cooper OV-25 which looked identical to a blunt nose Westinghouse model.

I think the boxy ones came out in 1978 or 1979. My OV-15 is from 1976 IIRC. I've seen traditional OV-25s as late as 1977 I think. Not sure when the boxy OV-15 and OV-25 came out but I do know Cooper replaced them with the OVS and OVM in 1985. Then the OVC came out around 1989 or 1990.

Update: the OV-25 got replaced with a R47, seems Toronto is reusing fixtures now.

Cool! Wanna check if they'll hook me up with R37 parts? Razz Laughing
