Restore HID Finds Part 2
Went to Restore again this week. Seems this one had a bunch of vintage HID lamps.

From left to right, Westy 250w Ceramalux-4 (According to my Westy catalogue it's a high colour rendering HPS lamp, I tried it on a 250w ballast and it seems whiter than regular HPS lamps) 100w GE /DX merc, 125w /DX CGE merc, 4 MFD cap, pulse rated medium socket, 2 Advance 39w electronic MH ballasts, 2 F6T5/BLs, and a preheat F8T5 strip.

Nice grabs! Especially the two mercs and the two HPS lamps.

Thanks Mike and Darren! It's not everyday you find a BT-25 HPS at Restore. Cool

Anyways here's the dates and date codes:
BT-25 HPS - September 1986
CGE 125w merc - 65 (blue glass in base)
Westy 250w HPS - 0 1 (black glass)
Advance ballasts - 2012
GE 100w merc - 70 (blue glass in base)

Great haul! I didn't know Westinghouse made deluxe HPS lamps, but you can clearly see it has an arc tube with a larger bore. I have two Ceramalux Comfort lamps, 70w & 150w which are the same but made by Philips. The fluorescent fixture is nice and the 125w merc with a mogul base is not something I've seen before. The Rubik's cube looks vintage, too!

Thanks, yeah I didn't know that Westy made deluxe HPS lamps too. Yeah, I like grabbing these F8T5 preheat strips whenever I see them show up at Restore. I heard that even in Europe, 125w mercs don't usually come in a mogul base. There were some old sign floods here that used 125w mercs but they didn't have mogul based 125w lamps so they used medium based lamps with adapters. As for the Rubik's cube, it was something I picked up at the surplus store lol.
