Thanks if you get a camera with a 10-16x zoom it makes it a lot easier to take pictures of fixture tags and lamps.

Strange, this is the same design of the Cooper Vanguard which I thought was a Westinghouse design, interesting way of grounding the fixture too. Rolling Eyes

Hmm. It does look a lot like the Vanguard. I didn't notice that ground lug either. Maybe it added...

And I hope that ground is tight, this is a 347v fixture. Shocked

I can't see why they wouldn't of put the ground lug inside the fixture, this just looks stupid. I'd of though the fixture would of come with a ground screw or lug from the factory.

Yeah 347 volt is very common for commercial lighting in Canada, I'm not sure why 347 volts was chosen though.

It's usually 120 or 240 here. Do you guys use 240 too is 347 its substitute?

We do...my R47 was 120/240v but the electrical codes here require ballasts with phase to phase input (208, 240, 480, 600V) to be CWI so I guess that's one of the reasons why 347v lighting is more popular, especially on building with three phase.

Basically here are the three common voltages, 120/240 signal phase (residential/light commercial), 120/208 three phase and 347/600 volt three phase.

There's also 277/480V common in USA.
