Westinghouse OV 25 With Glareshield
Here's a close up of a Westinghouse OV25 with a glareshield that used to be commonly seen along the 404 until the early 2000s when they were replaced with highmast (pic of one back in the early 90s). There's still a small number of these on some of the cross streets near the freeway but their slowly getting removed as they fail or when they replace the pole.

Here's a side shot of it, oddly the Canadian Silverliners already have a more blunt end to them like the later Crouse Hinds and Cooper ones.

Interesting, I know of some B2255s with glare shields.

Check out the glareshield on this Powerlite!

That sure is big! Here are the Powerlite B2255s with the glareshields I was talking about.

I think I might have a pic of the Streetview I linked too, and I've passed by those B2255s quite a few times before but didn't really notice them. Laughing

I also found these lighting a rail yard.

I found a shielded OV-15 here! Also note the strange floodlighting setups across the road! Shocked

It looks like Canada also had the classic OV-25 design with the more pointy front in the 70s, I suppose in the very late 70s Westinghouse changed the design. In the USA they made the early 70s style as late as 1980.

They made the "L-150" and "L-250" and the traditional silverliners at the same time.
