King Marquis
Hmm, not sure who make this style of gumball, but it's a lot harder to find in Toronto compared to the Cooper "Toronto Gumball". I only know of three in the Port Lands area of Toronto.

Edit: Thanks to Mike for the fixture make/model

Yeah, it looks like it was installed recently too, the streetview still shows the pole with a regular Toronto gumball.
streetlight98   [Apr 30, 2012 at 02:34 AM]
Hmm. Interesting...
joe_347V   [Apr 30, 2012 at 02:37 AM]
Well, it looks like we have a new Toronto gumball mystery. Laughing
streetlight98   [Apr 30, 2012 at 02:48 AM]
I think i may have found a match
joe_347V   [Apr 30, 2012 at 03:34 AM]
Thanks! I wonder if Toronto started using them because Cooper isn't making the URB design anymore.
streetlight98   [Apr 30, 2012 at 09:55 PM]
Maybe. These look a bit better anyways IMO.
joe_347V   [Apr 30, 2012 at 10:01 PM]
Yeah sort of, although I'd like then more if they had a shorter head like your average NEMA...well and a latch on reflector. Razz
toronto6940   [May 02, 2012 at 04:44 AM]
they still have the urb designs and toronto and is the fixture metal halide

is the fixture metal
halide

Hmm, I thought Mike contacted Cooper and found out that the URB was discontinued in 2008.
gailgrove   [May 02, 2012 at 07:34 PM]
I'm pretty sure Cooper still makes them, I've seen them installed just last year.
streetlight98   [May 03, 2012 at 01:49 AM]
Yes, I was told they were discontinued. The ones you see there are either not made by Cooper or Cooper makes them per custom order similar to the OV-15 and OV-25.
GullWhiz   [May 03, 2012 at 02:27 PM]
The longer ones actually makes them look more vintage! Did you know that the internally ballast NEMA heads of the 50s were LARGE! I mean they were really enlonged and FAT!
streetlight98   [Dec 13, 2012 at 11:11 PM]
@ Joe is this bare finished or painted gray?
joe_347V   [Dec 14, 2012 at 01:29 AM]
They're bare and a few more got installed this year which makes me think their Cooper URB stock is running out.
streetlight98   [Dec 14, 2012 at 01:47 AM]
I personally like this design better. Looks more vintage IMO. I especially love the extended head. Now if only i could get one in 250W MV. Laughing
toronto6940   [Jul 06, 2013 at 06:26 PM]
they are getting more k215 in toronto and starting to replace some of the current fixtures
joe_347V   [Jul 06, 2013 at 07:57 PM]
They're spot replacing the Cooper URBs with them as Cooper stopped making the URB in 2008 as confirmed by Mike...
toronto6940   [Jul 06, 2013 at 08:24 PM]
i seen the k215's replacing some of the current urbs in Toronto and seen a string of k215's on Portland street and started replacing them this year
joe_347V   [Jul 06, 2013 at 08:54 PM]
Yeah thats what I said...
Form109   [Feb 23, 2024 at 06:07 AM]
