AEL 17-000
I believe this bad boy is a very early and rare version of a AEL 327 or the 17-000, note the cool looking fin on top for the caps and the rounded part at the end of the fin which I guess is knockout for a PC.

This guy pops up again. xD I have seen one of these up in use by 285 and Santa Fe, behind a building in a parking lot.

Laughing I think this is a even earlier version than the one in David F's pic, I believe his is finless.
LilCinnamon   [Feb 06, 2012 at 07:04 PM]
The one I saw in Englewood had a fin on it. So it looks like this one. xD

Nice! To bad they ruined the fixture by drilling that strapping onto it. Rolling Eyes

Oh well at least the other one appears to be original. Rolling Eyes

I've heard of a Model xx-000 series from AEL, maybe it's one of those, the 327-000 I guess.
joe_347V   [Feb 06, 2012 at 09:22 PM]
Hmm, I wonder if it is a 327-000 too.
streetlight98   [Feb 06, 2012 at 10:20 PM]
That's my guess. The 25-000 looks very similar to this. I saw a pic of one somewhere althoguh I've only seen the 13-000 and one of these in person.
joe_347V   [Feb 06, 2012 at 11:36 PM]
I wonder if someone here could get pics of the other two early AEL models so we could make a comparison.
streetlight98   [Feb 06, 2012 at 11:38 PM]
Here's your 13-000:

I can't find the 25-000 though...

Thanks! Btw I made your comment a bit neater. Wink

Update: saw these at night, they don't work though. Sad

Yeah the software sometimes handles text weirdly after pics, notice how I got rid of the "click to enlarge" thing I used to have below the 2nd pic, it sometimes caused the description to get formatted wrong.
streetlight98   [Dec 02, 2012 at 10:33 PM]
aww. I guess i can't say i'm surprised though... Crying or Very sad

Well, it least it's still up and not replaced with a metal waffle. Laughing

SHOCKLY, that gumball is ALOT newer than those 2 old cobraheads!
joe_347V   [Dec 03, 2012 at 03:21 AM]
Yeah, it's a modern Cooper MH one that replaced a old incandescent one in the mid 90s. Razz
