Broken Gumballs
Here's a partial shot of the abandoned mid 50s TTC bus terminal where this was. There used to be gumballs on those poles as you can tell by the NEMA heads and remote ballast left but I guess they either fell down or was smashed.

It seems the first arm has also lost its underbrace.

Yeah the brace is missing.

Is there a chance there were more of these on the bare poles? Seems like the black marks on them could match up with the mounting spot on the arm...

It seems there were more but not every pole had a gumball. Here's a overhead shot from 1962 showing the bus terminal when it was still fairly new.

In that shot I would have been standing on the sidewalk in between the double gumball and the TTC sign.

GREAT JOB! Now make a to days overhead shot! Gull dares you! (Yes you've been dared by the GULL!)

Update: They recently put plywood hoarding over the fence but the broken gumballs and ballasts are still up.

Second update: these are mostly gone now, the entire site has been demolished and is now a giant pit for a future underground LRT station.
