Hmm, I see a GE Salem and an AEL ARD Very Happy

I was hoping to trick a few people...but you got that correct....now AEL ARD are being installed in my area instead of Salems as the brand new fixtures! Most of the lights in this road are Cooper Traditionares. Offically Coopers are supposed to be replaced with another refurbished Traditionares in Howard County (and I think in the other counties) But it doesnt always go this way. But Howard County as far as I know is the only County that still requests Cooper Traditionares in new neighborhoods. But I am told they are refurbished traditionares and even today from time to time I see refurbished McGraw Edison Traditionare!

They are very similar looking fixtures, I wasn't sure at first.

Cooper Traditiaires (or McGraw Edison Traditionares) has been used in my area since the 70s until around late 90s to early 2000s I started seeing them pop up.....there are some negatives and positives about Salems and AEs...The Salems decorative ladder rest are separate from the fixture but is very STRONG Alunimum and is very sturdy (although in above pic lacks one) The AE ladder rest (and Coopers ladder rest are plastic...and could break!)

Those two fixtures in the pic has similar top as the Cooper Traditionaires!

Is one of those tops gray or is it just the lighting?
GullWhiz   [Oct 18, 2011 at 12:20 AM]
It was very shiny....so it's the lighting...
