i have nothing against the New fixtures and Arms...but i like the old Poles and arms more....cause they are older.....even though the Repros attempt to Replicate Classic Designs....the Nostalgia just isn't there for me.

Yeah....actually sadly......those new posts actually killed off bunch of clamshells and GE Form 109s......

GE Form 109s (turn around to see another one in distance) if you keep moving it will eventually turn into an updated road scene...

Also in this picture shows the 2 poles next to each other ...one new and other old

lone new repro before more got installed

Also here is more of the former clamshells that was found in this road until before our new president...

Also I know some of the old poles are so rusty they can literally fall on you! One happened pretty recently in May see here

Now not all of the lights are replaced.....and not all are replaced with repros....I actually saw 2 lights next to each other.....i will try to get a picture of it today....if the old one is still there, but both were EXACTLY the same...same type fixtures...same shape pole, same shape arm...but one was new! Almost forgot to mention...Washington DC seems they STILL install GE M-400A2 FCO...not the new GEs....

I've seen 250 watt metal halide repros replace 200 watt high pressure sodium streetlights in Pittsburgh.

Those new tear drops are HPS as far as I know......

The ones in Silver Spring City, which are the Atlanta style repros are MH....we also have repros in my area installed by BGE but all I see so far are HPS, except I have seen some MH repros in Baltimore City...

Here we had a road redone with repros, they replaced a bunch of old Powerlites Rolling Eyes

@gailgrove, I think I know which road you're talking about, I saw some new teardrop repros on Queen St. in Brampton.

I wonder why they left some of the old poles and replaced the others? Good pic.
