Replaced a burnt out 300W Applo today, the old one having gone pop, and thought about how it would look if run on the NST. 12kV at 30mA later, and this is the result, with it glowing nicely and burning nicely. Don't know how much voltage drop across the lamp, but it got hot enough to burn the plywood underneath it a little. The various arcs cleaned up the initially totally black tube as you can see on the photo.
