There was an M-100?
GullWhiz   [Jul 17, 2010 at 06:13 AM]
Yes...the open bottom.....came out in 1960 and ended production in 1971......They were VERY common in New York City......in 175 watt starting 1963....until HPS take over...

It is still found around here in Maryland.....plenty....also I know they are found in VA too.........

Rarier in the west though...

A cool pic would be of them all opened up.

Note...the Form 175 is not a cobrahead, but it comes in the same line of the streetlight evolution shown....

I'm surprised how much smaller the M250R1 then the M250R Shocked

The GE M-250R2 is a little smaller than the GE M-250R1

Now after seeing some of them , I can me quite good imagine why their name is cobrahead Laughing

Yes sir! The M-100 is kinda rare in the USA but not rare in my state which is Maryland....lot of them...there used to be a lot of M-100 in New York City!

My favorite cobrahead shown would be the M-250R1
My favorite fixture shown of course would be the form 175 PowerPack. Love that design
