LED traffic lights near Castra mall, Haifa city One of them have a new type of road arrow sign, which is larger then the normal road arrow signs on our traffic lights. The traffic lights themselves are 12-12-12 and the pedestrian ones are 8-8. Their LED signals are made by S.C.A.E and imported by Hasmal Habarak company. They have a polycarbonate lens that prevents reflection of sunlight at the morning and the evening. They are in the both red and orange mode, means that you should be ready for drive, before the traffic light changes to green (This traffic light mode aren't exist in North America, where the traffic lights changes from red to green instantly). That is an very old light cycle that we once used that in USA. My father made a traffic light and he made a switching system that would go from green to green/yellow. From green/yellow to red. Then the red cycle goes from red to red/yellow. From red/yellow to green.

I can barely remember that old cycle when I was a child seeing at downtown Chicago.

Our traffic lights operating thus: red (Don't cross the junction), red+orange (Prepare for driving), green (You can cross the junction), green flashing 3 times (The light is about to turn orange), orange (Clear off the junction) and then back to red (The flashing green appears only in juctions were driving at more then 60km/h allowed) .
If the traffic lights are flashing orange, this means that they aren't operating or the traffic light system malfunctioning.

I wish USA adopt a safer traffic light timing because in some state, people keeps going through the yellow light signal until the red light comes on Mad

This is accurs also in Israel, when drivers keeps going through the yellow light signal.
But here, this is often results in passing in a red light, when the drivers continues to go even if they had far from the traffic light when it was orange.
This is the reason why passing in a red light is common traffic violation in Israel, especially with drivers under an alcohol intoxication.
