A very rare installation of traffic light in Israel
We had more hanging traffic lights in the past. But today, all of them are on posts.
They are all temporary i think.
You can also see the many vintage US GE M-400 lanterns with HPS lamps which are also temporary since this junction is in maintenance.
We have also the modern US GE M-400 in service in intercity roads.

I remember these where I live. Back in the late 90s there were at least a dozen of them around. Today only two "traffic light" so to say remains, the rest are school lights and other single lens lights.

Those look like M400A2 FCO?...i Forget the Model Actually...but its not the Classical or Original 59-60's M400.

I saw in one site that there is no visible difference between the M400A1 FCO and the M400A2 FCO.

Yes there is.....different latch, photocell location is in different spot...looking at the latch of those those are the GE M-400A2 FCO I see bail wire latch on them....the A1 has pull cast aluminum latch which locks from the inside of the fixture...the A2 locks from the outside with a clip
