I have seen this outlet somewhere Confused Perhaps from the 1930's? IIRC I have seen such outlet at the basement of the house of my late grandparent's house (Now my uncle owns it) that was built in 1939.

I think they used the same vintage design on those outlets for many years.
Mine is newer because it's made for three prong grounded plugs.
