10 watt 2D ballasts and lamps
I have two 10 watt 2D magnetic ballasts. One of them was broken when I got it. After taking this photo I opened it it up and it is just a cracked solder joint. They use electronic starters. When I fix it, maybe I will put in a glowbottle starter if there is room.

The lamps are 2700 K, my least favorite color. I like it when it comes from incandescent lamps, but I find fluorescent 2700 K boring.

The ballasts were made by Thorn in the UK.

Plug in 2D ballasts are not available here, although the 2D 2 pin is a very common fixture for cieling/wall mounting in a round bulkhead fitting. The 26W is not common, but there are a fair amount around.

They are not available here anymore, these are from the early 90s I think.
Except for the lamps I have, I have never seen a 2D lamp installed in a fixture in my life.
EDIT: 5 seconds after posting, I just remembered, I have seen some in a hotel. But, still extremely uncommon.
