Wisconsin NEW traffic signal setup. Here is one view of a newer signal setup around Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wisconsin does things weirdly compared to other places, this is a newer setup so it is more relatively normal compared to what things are elsewhere and older in the state. Usually they don't have the masts over the actual road except for like single signal setups. So this is a newer signal put up some time ago, I dunno when. wow those route markers run high up! In Rhode Island they put the route markers side-by-side with the arrows underneath each one rather than stack them like this. Makes it easier to read. But these people are probably used to read them stacked like this...

Also I may note that that is an unusual setup for wisconsin, how they usually do things is they have one big sign, usually wood, and they have all the designations on one big sign. So if you have two routes, it would be one big piece of wood or metal, with all the designations next to each other, usually side by side.

RIDOT does this usually. Or each sign is on its own pole right next to each other. This is how they do it. The older set-ups were made of wood and back in the day when they made their own signs, all the route markers were be one piece of sign like This.

Looks like a Chapel Hill signal since I can sorta make out the CH logo on the back. Anyway Chapel Hill, TCT, PEEK, and Fortran signals have the same basic design which I believe was based off the Crouse Hinds Type R.
