New traffic signal just installed.
Over the past month they have been getting ready to install this down the road from where I live. We thought it was just maintenance but it looks like they are adding a traffic light.

Only yesterday did they put the thing fully up, the past few days they were putting the signals on just the side poles, and there was no over the road arms just yet. (they put those on yesterday)

And then last week is when they put the poles up with no signals on them.

So they next step I believe is to program the boxes, wire up the remaining stuff to be wired, and then take the covers off the signals. and stuff like that.

Here is a full view.

I see they attach the signals to the mast the same way RIDOT does. This looks a lot like a RIDOT installation except RIDOT uses 12" ped signals with 2 sections (man/hand on one and countdown on the other) and RIDOT only used backplates with "vent holes" on them with spanwire installations; the vast majority are solid backplates and the new ones have yellow reflective tape on the front, but are still black on the back.
