never seen a M100,they are definetly unique...i like them abit better than the competing models from westinghouse.

Very nice. I've always like the GE fixtures better. Even today, GE makes the best ballast-on-door fixture IMO.

This could be a good power-door. When the ballast fails and IF the socket also get's melted with the blow, the power door will replace the socket as well! Good design on these. They should make a power-door fixture that replaces the socket as well as the fixture.

I don't really seen the need, how is a ceramic socket going to "melt" anyways. Holophane does however make a fixture exactly like that! Shocked

The socket wouldn't melt, but the wires could get damaged if the ballast dies by overheating.

An application like that would work perfectly for a floodlight. A cobrahead is a bit of a different story.
