Crouse-Hinds OVM fitted with 400 watt Metal Halide ballast.
Here you see how I fitted my OVM with the metal halide ballast. Coated 400w MV lamp is in there at the moment.

This is gonna stay this way. I am wondering about trading one of my fixtures though...

Does this look neat? I tried to make it as neat as possible.

not bad...but would be even better if you didn't use wirenuts....

Did you know that electrical codes states for commercial buildings not to have wirenuts or have less than what is used at homes!

I never see wirenuts in streetlights.....I would recommend crimp connections with Spade connection complings....

You do know Jace that many lights where built with wirenuts? Wink

I like how my M-400 is wired. It has a huge terminal block for all of the wires to connect to instead of soldering or wirenuts.

I replaced this ballast with the 400 watt HPS M-400 R2 ballast, it fits in well. So this has original specs now. Except the ballast is CWA and much newer. xD

I probably need to get a pictrue of inside it.
