You keep teasing me with all the M-250As that are in your area. Razz I want one soo bad. I hope to get one off my grandparents' street alogn with a M-250R(1), but I think the ballasts are 240 volt. Sad I'd have to reballast them.

These are like the ones in my neighborhood. 150w HPS, except ours are wired for 240 I believe. They were mercs originally.

The few one's here are mercury. There are some in Narragansett Beach that are HPS though.

When the mercs on my grandparents' street come down I'll try to get two M-250As if I can. Smile

Thats a picture perfect installation too.

I agree. At least it's lived a decent long life. Could have been much longer though...

The streetlights in you're area usually stay up longer than most of them do here Laughing

Next time I'm in that area ill get some updated photos. All these new LEDs got those ripley longlife's installed.

@ Model25FanForever; yeah I noticed they like to replace lights just for the sake of having something new up there. Razz In my area, if it's HPS, it's here to stay unless the igniter (or ballast or something besides the lamp or PC) dies. Or if the intersection gets upgraded or whatever. However, mercs get replaced upon servicing.

The reason why there are (well, were) so many older lights in Tony's area is because they must have gone HPS early on. In my area, most of the HPS lights didn't get installed until the mid 90s (1994 was a huge year for MV replacements in Massachusetts and I'd think the same for RI too, though they were much more thorough with the changeout in MA than they were in RI.) In your area, they may have held onto the mercs and incandescent until the 90s like we did for the most part in RI, so many of the lights in your area are more recent.
