I think the 327 has the same refractor pattern as the OV50

I See Similarities in Pattern and i think the Footprint is the same.
streetlight98   [Jul 30, 2011 at 01:54 AM]
That's what I meant, the footprint. I think the GE 1Kw refractor foot print is uniqe to GE

the 327 and OV refractors are interchangeable. However, they are still very different. BTW, 700 watt?? it's almost impossible to get lamps for these anymore. I believe Iwasaki is the only manufacturer of 700 watt MV lamps.
streetlight98   [Aug 09, 2011 at 02:54 AM]
Yeah, I wish they were more common. EYE is expensive. Confused
NiMo   [Aug 09, 2011 at 02:59 AM]
Thing is, with the advent of PSMH, LED and induction lighting, older and less eficcient lighting sources are going to get pricier until they're phased out.
streetlight98   [Aug 09, 2011 at 03:03 AM]
The older stuff would get cheaper because of lower demand. I was just saying EYE itself is very expensive. Sylvania is great quality for half the price. Confused
NiMo   [Aug 09, 2011 at 03:06 AM]
Not really. High wattage incandescents for example, and especially Silvered Bowl lamps, have become obscenely expensive. I bought two Sylvania 300 watt SB lamps for my hall light over a couple of years. Paid $11 for one and $20 for the other. This is why you don't see all but 8 foot Power Groove lamps either.

Dumas Texas is COVERED with 700w MV 327's. I got a pic of one but I haven't uploaded it yet..

I wonder how they maintain so many 700w 327's with the lamps so expensive.

Taxes. Razz That's why those lamps are so expensive. The gov is going to tax us until the country goes bankrup. Mad Confused Don't know if you saw the last Dow Jones report. Sad
mercuryvaporrocks   [Aug 09, 2011 at 04:14 PM]
700 watt mercury vapor lamps are even more expensive than 1000 watt mercury vapor ones.
streetlight98   [Aug 09, 2011 at 04:19 PM]
yeah, I know. They must not sell enough.
