I believe mine has the refactor like this one..

The refractor on this is different from mine. I'm sanding down parts of my OV10 now. I've done the copper terminals and the ballast cover and I just did the slipfitter peice. On all three parts I sprayed it with a clear acrilic spraypaint so that the metal will be preserved longer. It also makes the metal glossey and smooth. Are you sure that the OV10 was bare jace? I took the reflector off of the ballast housing and I saw what looked like silver paint. The reflector had light silver paint to difuse glare from the sun I am assuming and the housing has a textured hammard silver finish where the reflector was placed over the housing.

that's a sweet view,you can see the refractor pattern very cleary
