R37 Lookin' Like a Cooper?
I tried a Cooper/AEL/Westy square glass in this and the door looks a LOT like an OVZ or OVX. Pretty interesting lol. I thought I'd like this glass on the R37 but it looks too "Cooperish" so I don't really like it.

Nice restoration and canadian homage lol. Never seen a painted one before lol! That seems to make it's door edge look sharper, like a copper. I just realized half the R47's around here use this glass, and half use this cooper glass.

Thanks! Yeah I love those small Powerlites, especially the R37! Wouldn't mind eventually getting an R47 too but I don't know of any in use anywhere near me. I'll stick to getting more R37s from this place lol.

Yeah I was surprised this was actually originally painted silver, as I was under the impression that these were either bare or painted gray. Didn't realize they must've offered silver or gray as options. The silver looks way better than the gray but both actually look nice. I know of some gray R37s. They look more like newer Coopers in gray though. In silver they look like a 60s cobrahead. I absolutely love my R37! Very Happy

Looks great Mike! A shallow GE refractor looks pretty good on the R37.
