Metal Halide floodlights.
With a few LED's in the background, I think those would be the Hubbel cobraheads.

But this is one of the field areas of CSU Ft. Collins, illuminated by huge metal halide floods for the students to see after it gets dark.

They are very bright. I like the bright. They illuminate the field very well. They have lots of them for other areas, and they are not always on. Only on when needed and when people are using the fields.
