StreetLight #186 - LED
Noticed these along a highway & tried to get one (but was too difficult even not being the one driving)
There happened to be one near a place where I stopped, so even better, could get a good steady shot instead of trying from the car.

Not sure whether to think it looks like a cobrahead-fixture...or a toilet-seat LOL

Yeah I saw they replaced the old M-400's with LED's last time I drove to the place I used to live, Bailey CO. I have plenty of pictures in my gallery of the older M-400's, I noticed all the lights were replaced from Bailey to Aspen Park, everything from there to Denver are still old. And the MV lights in Bailey are untouched, as those are serviced by the utility, not the state CDOT. I also noticed on I-76 all the way from I-70 to Pecos St, they replaced ALL the old fixtures with these Leotek LED fixtures, so like hundreds of fixtures they changed out, not missing any. CDOT really is starting to replace all lights with LED's now. Like all other states. xD Sad, but LED's will soon be the dominant street light, even if they needed a yellow light for the star-gazing areas of the US, they would still use LED's, because LED's can emit all sorts of different colors.

I've noticed some older lights in Bailey looking down some of the side-streets while passing through... wondered if some might still be MV (LOL because if I was driving through there by myself I woulda been very tempted to take a little detour off the highway for some "streetlight pic's")

I'm really starting to see LED fixtures showing up all around now.
It is sad that many of the existing nice old HID lights will be replaced Sad .. even sadder that they will likely just end up being scrapped Crying or Very sad

Various ones of these have become quite common to see here. Guess it was one of CDOT's choices. Atleast they're not ugly to me.
