Hmm odd how they ran the conduit away from the pole like that. I guess maybe the pole was replaced at some point and they didn't bother to move the conduit over? lol.

Yeah thats an odd setup they did. the clamp is starting to come loose too LOL
Next time I'm there I need to remember to look & see if there is something else mounted (like an electric box/or panel) lower on the pole...this is next to a covered patio area with multiple picnic tables. the type of thing people can rent out for holding parties/gatherings in the park.

Hmm interesting. I'm guessing it's a utility-owned light since it's FCO? Here they probably would have installed a floodlight. Back in the 70s though it still would have been a 400W or 1000W MV though, not 250W or 400W HPS

That's a pretty cool set up. I would be worried about that style bracket failing though. It's the same bracket AEL uses for there nema heads.

Nah it should be fine as long as the thru-bolt bracket is welded on there good.

I just assumed it is owned by the county (or the parks district) since it is within the park rather than along a roadway.
Lil'Cinnamon might be able to answer this as he has better knowledge of the lights here than I do Smile

it may be owned by electric company leased as a PAL (private area lighting)
